Holy Matrimony

“The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1601)

Married couples, in virtue of their Sacrament of Marriage, express and share in the mystery of marital love that exists between Christ and the Church.  Through your preparation and entering into this holy vocation as married persons you are a symbol of unconditional love and intimate communion between Jesus, (the Bridegroom) and the Church (His bride).

To witness the love of a man and woman made holy in the Sacrament of Marriage is to see concretely the love between Christ and His Church.  Marriage fills us with great joy and gratitude.  That is why we take the preparation and celebration of this sacrament seriously.

"Christ is the center of all Christian life. The bond with Him takes precedence over all other bonds, familial or social." CCC#1618

Some are called to marriage to another person on other: the bridegroom represents Christ (male) to his wife and the wife represents the Church (female) to her husband. This is why priests, who are married to the Church must be male because the Church is female. This is also why true marriage and the only valid marriage is between male and female.

Both the Sacrament of Matrimony and Virginity for the Kingdom (Priests and consecrated men and women religious) come from the Lord Himself.

Ephesians 5-"husbands love your wife as Christ loves the Church." This is the "great Mystery" St.Paul talks about comparing earthly marriage to the marriage between Chrict and the Church.

Scripture can be summed up in 5 (five) shorts words: God wants to marry you!

1st Book of the Bible:Genesis-marriage of Adam and Eve
last book of the Bible is between Christ and His Church
and the middle book of the Bible is the "Song of Songs"-the love song between Yhwh and Israel, Christ and the Church and husband and wife.

True marriage must be free, faithful and fruitful.

Sacramental marriage is a liturgical act and shouls take place in the church with a validly ordained priest. 

The Marital bond has been established by God Himself in such a way that a marriage concluded and conumated between baptized persons can never be dissolved. CCC#1640 based on Matthew 19 and Mark 10

Therefore marriage demands fidelity and indissolubility. Marriage is for conjugal love and the procreation and education of children.

Both spouses are called to "help one another attain holiness in their married life and in welcoming and educating their chidren." CCC#1641

Spouses are to be properly formed in the Catholic faith before and after the Sacrament is the be received. The married couple is called to be open and fruitful by God in Genesis 1 and 2 and form a "domestic Church" in the home open to the sacraments, prayer, love by receiving God's divine Grace. It is their road to holiness-a vocation from Heaven.

"Cristo es el centro de toda vida cristiana, el vínculo con Él tiene precedencia sobre todos los demás vínculos, familiares o sociales". CCC # 1618

Algunos son llamados a casarse con otra persona en otra: el novio representa a Cristo (varón) a su esposa y la esposa representa a la Iglesia (mujer) a su marido. Por eso los sacerdotes, que están casados ​​con la Iglesia, deben ser varones porque la Iglesia es femenina. Esto es también por qué el matrimonio verdadero y el único matrimonio válido es entre el varón y la hembra.

Tanto el Sacramento del Matrimonio como la Virgindad para el Reino (Sacerdotes y consagrados) vienen del Señor mismo.

El verdadero matrimonio debe ser libre, fiel y fructífero.

El matrimonio sacramental es un acto litúrgico y debe tener lugar en la iglesia con un sacerdote válidamente ordenado.

El vínculo conyugal ha sido establecido por Dios mismo de tal manera que un matrimonio concluido y conumated entre personas bautizadas nunca puede ser disuelto. CCC # 1640 basado en Mateo 19 y Marcos 10
